The ladders that we use are extendable, and you can unfold them and lengthen them to the height of the gutters. These ladders can often extend up to two stories. They can also be folded into an A-frame, which allows us to ascend the rungs much like stairs, and allows for a stable platform that our gutter cleaners can work from without having to lean the ladder up against your home or business.
If we're working near a second story, then we'll often use a stabilizer in addition to our ladder. This stabilizer simply pushes the ladder away from the wall and allows us to get a better angle on the gutters. A Scoop |
While others may prefer using a pressure washer or pressurized air to blow any leaves and debris from your gutters, we like to use a scoop that can be attached to telescopic gutter cleaning tools, or extensions. These scoops allow us to ensure that all of the leaves and gunk that have built up in your gutters are removed, and that none of it falls into your downspout.
These tools are made from plastic, ensuring they won't scratch or damage your rain gutters whether they're vinyl, stainless steel, or aluminum. These tools can also be used from the ground if needed. Using the gutter cleaning extension and by angling the scoop, removing debris while on the ground becomes a breeze.

A Pressure Washer
After any leaves, twigs, or other heavy branches have been removed, we use a pressure washer with a special nozzle (or a gutter cleaning hose attachment), to go ahead and remove any moss or dirt from the bottom of your gutters. These can become heavier as they build up, and removing them allows rain water and runoff to flow to downspouts more easily. In addition, it gives us a chance to see if there are any gaps or cracks in your gutter which may need to be repaired. We also use these tools to clear your downspouts. If a clog has been located, we'll go ahead and feed a hose up the spout, using it to clear leaves and branches out of the way. |
A Plumber's Snake
When we just can't seem to dislodge that clog in your downspout, that's where we bring out the plumber's snake. We use this to clear stubborn blockages in your spouts, and if you're gutters connect into a hose or pipe that runs into the ground, we can use it to clear those out to.
